Cost: $30 for a 6-hour workshop
Level: Beginner to Advanced
This workshop introduces students to creating complex cloth utilizing a variety of pigments and tools. Techniques include:
- creating a base on white cotton with Setacolor light fabric paints
- creating texture with stencils and spray inks
- adding more color and visual interest with paintstiks and stencils
- creating additional texture with foam stamps and metallic fabric paint
- completing an original fabric with rubber stamps and ink
- discussion of additional embellishments
- discussion of different ways to use OUR HAND-CREATED FABRIC in our quilts
Kit fee for workshop: $20.00
Kit includes:
- Prepared fabric needed to make quilt top and backing
- Pattern
- Usage of Paintstiks, palette paper, and additional supplies
