This workshop introduces students to various paint effects using transparent fabric paint. Techniques covered include:
- Spraying white fabric with paint to create special effects
- sun printing
- sunburst effect with salt
- scrunching
- application with brush
- application with sponges
- using resists to create batik effects
- usage of paint thickener in order to paint shapes and motifs
- guidance in choosing and mixing paint colors
- using shading and highlighting to add depth
- usages for your painted fabric
Kit fee for workshop: $20.00
Kit includes:
- Prepared fabric needed to make quilt including backing and binding
- Paint brush
- Pattern
- Freezer paper
- Usage of paint, paint applicators, salt and miscellaneous supplies
