I think it is important for every person to have a happy place. A happy place is different things to different people. A hike on a favorite trail, curling up with an engrossing book in the corner of a bookstore and a lunch with a favorite friend are all places which can make us happy, me included. Truly lucky people can call their workplace their happy place.
I know many are not as fortunate. Their duties may be stressful or they may have a supervisor who makes their job difficult. Sometimes they are unable to find a more pleasant work environment. For those working in an office or cubicle, it may help to have a little bit of art to provide some inspiration and comfort.
And it’s because of these observations that I gave birth to “happy place” quilts. These small quilts may be placed on a desk using an easel or they may be hung on a cubicle wall using clips. They are a great little gift for a loved one who may need a little encouragement while they are at work (or any place else, for that matter)! It’s a wonderful way to share some love with that special person in your life.
